| Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado and the 60th largest in the US with a population of about 320,000. Winters can be cold with a low in January of 16 and a summer high temperature of around 90. Interstate 70 (I-70) and Interstate 225 (I-225) run through Aurora. Large employers in the area include Buckley Air Force Base, Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Colorado Hospital, Raytheon Company, Kaiser Permanente, ADT Security Services. Famous past or present residents include Tim Allen, John Kerry, and Brandon Quinn. The area was the former home of Lowry Air Force Base and Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. |
